Eglė Rindzevičiūtė – our new visiting scholar

Dr. Eglė Rindzevičiūtė is an invited visiting scholar at PAScapes from September to December 2025.

She is a Professor of Criminology and Sociology at Kingston University, London, and the author of “The Power of Systems: How Policy Sciences Opened Up the Cold War World” (Cornell University Press, 2016) and “The Will to Predict: Orchestrating the Future Through Science” (Cornell University Press, 2023). She was the leader of the EU JPI international project “Nuclear Spaces: Communities, Materialities and Locations of Nuclear Cultural Heritage” (www.nuspaces.eu) in 2021-2024.

At PAScapes Egle will conduct research into the sociotechnical imaginaries of landfill sites in Lithuania and the role of these imaginaries in the shaping of liberal subjectivities in the 1980s-1990s. She will also contribute to the organisation of the international conference “The Landscapes of Waste: Ecosocial Perspectives” (17-18 December 2025) which will result in a collective publication.
